MATH CHALLENGE 2011-2012

There will be 16 challenges for 2011-2012 school year published for Rockwell, Mann, and Audubon. Scroll down below for the current challenge.

Math Challenge Program is a series of math challenges published every other weeks in your schools' news letters and this website. The purpose of the program is to involve families to enjoy math through a series of fun and engaging math problems. We want to encourage parents and siblings to get involved in solving them.

There is no need to sign up for this program. Students from grade 1 to 6 are encouraged to participate.

How it works:

1) Print out the current math challenge. Click at your school below.

2) Submit your answer/solution by Thursday to your teacher or your school's office. See below for schedule.

3) Listen to the Monday's announcement and find out if you are one of the winners.  

MATH KANGAROO - March 15, 2012

What is Math Kangaroo?

Math Kangaroo is a mathematical competition with the flavor of a game—introducing participants to math challenges in a fun and inspiring way. This competition boosts students’ math enthusiasm and self-confidence by measuring what they know rather than judging them in a team situation. More than 40 countries participate in this event that measures logical reasoning and analytical thinking.

The actual contest will be held on March 15, 2012. Deadline to register is December 31, 2011 or when centers are full. Participation fee is $20 (paid directly online at the below link).
