There won't be a class if there's no coach. Materials and training are available.
Math in Action class is designed to provide additional time for students to explore the fascinating subject of math. The success of the program will rely heavily on its participants. While most students will benefit from this program, students who commit to positive thinking and participation will benefit the most.
The class will focus on math activities in which prepare students to compete in a number of local and statewide math competitions. Weekly assignment may be given by the math coach.
Upcoming competitions: Online Math League (Rockwell, Redmond), Mt. Rainier Math Invitational (Des Moines), Math is Cool (Des Moines), WA State Math Championship (Blaine, WA), Math Counts (Redmond, WA), WA Math Olympiad (Woodinville).
